Hi Elizabeth
I am seeking the burial record for my
3rd great grandfather Rev. WILLIAM J. CODER who died in Mason County on 15 December 1841.
I would also like to find out if there was a newspaper in Mason County at that time that might have published an obituary.
I have an obituary of William that appeared Pennsylvania, where he preached prior to coming to IL, but it only speaks of his ministry.
I'm seeking his place of burial, date and place of birth, and information on his 7 sons.
About 5 years ago the Mason County Genealogical Society provided me with information about William from a county history as well as a list of accounts from his estate. That information was enormously helpful. Now I'm trying to go into William's ancestry. He's my brick wall. I can't get back to an earlier generation.
I also am missing several of his 7 sons.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
