Don,
Some pieces are beginning to come together for me and I found an article in a book, though I know some of it to be wrong as they had my Grandmother married to my G-Grandfather as his second wife.NOT!!!
The Conroy family was also known as Coonrod, etc.In my search of information I found that my GG-Grandfather gave my G-Grandfather to Edward Conroy.I heard at one time they lived in NE.I know my G-Grandmother from Ohio had family in NE so maybe that is where they met.???I know they raised their family in Ohio and my Grandfather was born there too, though after my Grandmother's death he remarried (a deceased cousin's husband and then her sister, just told me) but I have no findings of those records nor do I know where to look.I know DOB but not DOD.
The Dorsey family of which is supposed to be that of the 2nd marriage of my GG-Grandfather were connected to Coonrod, Conroy family too.
I didn't know anything about Mason County until reading the messages tonight.
I know it has been long since posting of your and the other person that replied, but I have left her a message too.Maybe my family will fall together yet if we all maul it over.
Hope to hear from you as your last posting was in 2003.
