Michelle,
I was up to my mothers and the only thing I can confirm is there was a Thomas Hampton but he was born in Illinois. Not sure if it was Mason County or Henry County, Illinois.
For some reason the Hamptons don't seem toknow much about each other and this is really sad. We need to find out things so we can pass our heritage on to our children. Mine would like to know what their nationality is but if we can't find out anything we can't tell them. Right?
Hope maybe someday we can find a Hampton that will talk.
Asked mother if there were skeletons in the closet the reason no one knows anything. I received no answer to that question. Mysterious huh?
Have a nice day.
Janice Hampton Mercer
