Thanks for responding, Peg.
ELISHA CODER and his wife and children were in Logan County in the 1850 census.
In the 1860 census, ELIZA CODER, now a widow, resides with her 4 sons in Moultrie County, Township 13, PO Sullivan, IL.
In 1870, ELIZA lives in Moultrie, East Nelson Twp., with Robert, Willard, Samuel and [Robertís son?] Robert, age 3.
It's not much to go on. Elisha could have died in either Logan or Moultrie County. If the Logan County newspapers are indexed, that seems the best place to start. Is there a Logan County historical society I could contact for a look-up?
