From the Lacon Home Journal, June 12, 1874 DIED RICHARD VINECORE - In Bennington, Friday, June 5th, of Erysipelas, Richard Vinecore, an old resident of Marshall County. In early days he rented the ferry and ran it, and afterwards kept a saloon and grocery store, selling the latter to Mohler & Fisher. His age was about fifty. MCNULTY - On June 1st, 1874, Miss Annie L. McNulty at her father's residence, Bradford, Ill., of typhoid fever, aged 22 years. Annie was the youngest child of James and Catherine McNulty, of Bradford. It is with feelings of sorrow that we announce the death of this most estimable young lady, after a brief sickness. Annie was the idol and favorite of her own family - the idol and darling of all who had the honor of her acquaintance - the loved favorite of all. Beautiful and attractive in person, gentle and kind in disposition, she was one of those of whom all spoke well and no one evil. Strong men and loving women were inconsolable when her remains were laid in the tomb. All religions and nationalities vied with each other in shedding tears over dear Annie's grave. She was all to all. The loved girl whom all respected. Annie McNulty, cut down in the glory of her womanhood, lives forever in the fondest memory of all who knew her. Hallowed be her memory. I'm not related, just had this copy. Notify Administrator about this message?
