Hi,
Samuel was born about 1795 in Virginia according to census records. He married Nancy M. Roberts Dec 16, 1819 in Wayne County, Indiana. On Jun 10, 1850 he took up 40 acres of land in Madison County, Illinois. On the 1850 census He had 10 children. In 1860 5 children at still listed at home. According to probate records he “departed this life on or about the 10th day of September A.D. 1861. Widow Nancy turns the estate matters over to Isaac, the eldest son at home. There are 13 children listed as heirs.
