Hi Paula,
Well I'm back on the trail of John Pointer and am still hitting a brickwall. I know he was married at least 5 times. 1st Margaret unk abt 1841 in Kentucky. They had 2 children Sarah 1846, and Henry 1849. 2nd Sarah Hardin married March 1853 in Rockcastle co Kentucky. 2 children Millard F 1854,Hannah J 1860. 3rd Mary Jane Butcher Woods married March 1863 in Douglas co Illinois. Numerous children. 4th Elizabeth Riley married 12/1876 Clay co Illinois. 5th and I hope final wife Elizabeth Russell White married 9/1885 Clay co Illinois. John Pointer was born 1827 Kentucky, still don't know his parents names (I'm told there Vincent Pointer, Anna Thompson but can't confirm this information),or when/where John Pointer died. Any help would be much appreciated.
