Looking for decendents of families who lived in Lawrence Co. Il during the 1860's to 1930's. The families of Bishop, Mills, and Thing moved there from Vincennes Indiana. I have obituaries of Edward Thing and his sister Ida (who died in the Sumner Il area 1920-1930), I have no information about the others. Among my grandmothers photos (most of which are tin-type 1880's era) are Cora Johnson, Alice Johnson, Zora(Mills), Millard F. Jones, Caroline Shick (of Sumner Illinois), Rosella Isgrig, Samuel, John and Carrie Thing, Roscoe, Charles and Lee Johnson (children of Lensen and Alice Johnson of
Vincennes) Martha Lucas married Philip Bishop, her sister Mary Jane married John Thing, another sister Sarah E. married Wm. Isgrig (Clinton County Indiana) and a brother disappeared after the 1850 census named Frank/Francis Lucas.. Would really appreciate anything on these families..
