Dr. James O. McDowell was born Nov 1843 in New York. He married Clara Joseph FOSTER in 1874 at Edwards County, Illinois. In 1880 and 1900 they are listed in the Lawrence County census as living in Sumner with James Listed as a physician. In 1900 Clara said she was the mother of nine, seven living. The youngest, son EMIL (1892-1969) died in Lawrence County. Does anyone have any info on this family to trade? I am working on the FOSTER family.
