Thanks for your reply but I'm not sure that would help me. She died in 1920 and from what I can tell Nettie was the last of her family because her brother and sister died before they were 5 years old. Nettie's own children lost their mother at a young age so they didn't have much information to pass to their children and her history was lost to us. Since she died 13 days after her husband the three eldest children all took to the road and the 2 youngest as well as a granddaughter they cared for were all sent to the orphanage. I know of no outside connections to the family who would have any information. I would really like to find Nettie's marriage application but I don't know where to look. I suspect it is in either St. Francisville or Vincennes. It could be in Daviess county because that is where her husband was from.
