Archibald Yard b. 1780 NY m. Mary b. 1782 NY
Mrs. Mary Yard born 1782 in New York, died unknown, but possibly before 1860, was said to be buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Waukegan, Lake County, Illinois, (no cemetery record for Mary, but her son Archibald P. Yard and his family are buried there);
Mrs. Mary Yard was believed to have possibly been married first to Archibald Pierson Yard born about 1780 in New York, and he probably died before 1841 in probably Waukegan, of Lake County, of Illinois (or in New York or on the way there).
Mrs. Mary Yard of Little Fort (Waukegan), Lake County, Illinois, was married possibly second on May 18, 1841 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to Paul Kingston who was born February 01, 1783 in almost certainly Bantry, of County Cork of Ireland(some say London, England). He died January 07, 1864 in Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin at age 80 years, 11 months, and 6 days and is buried in the Bay View Cemetery, Necedah, Juneau County, Wisconsin with his son Senator John Tabor Kingston and daughter-in-law Hannah Dawes Kingston and some of their children.
1830 Hounsfield, Jefferson County, New York Census: Archibald Yard, 1 male 5-10, 1 male 30-40, 1 female under 5, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 30-40, 5 total.
This does not fit as Archibald would have been age 50; Mary would have been age 45; Archibald, Jr. would have been age 8; Helen Mary would have been age 6; Charlotte Elizabeth would have been age 10 – 13. (The children fit – perhaps the adults were put in the wrong boxes?).
Mary and Archibald Yard had 3 children:
1. Charlotte Elizabeth Yard born 1820 (some say 1817 or1819), in probably Watertown, Jefferson County, of New York (some sayBrownsville, (Jefferson County?), New York) and died January 9, 1909 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois – buried “Town of Maine,” Park Ridge Cemetery, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois (no listings for Ballard, Kingston,Mitchell, Tallmadge, Waterman,or Yard).

Charlotte and John married January 21, 1848 in Cook County, Illinois.
Charlotte and John had 1 child born 1856 in Illinois. (Charlotte Josephine Mitchell born March 1856 (some say in Minnesota? – but it doesn’t appear that her family ever left Chicago); Charlotte Josephine married Mr. Waterman born in Illinois).

He engaged in milling and farming, owning a great deal of real estate in the county, including the historic farm and residence of Sir William Johnson, known for a century and a half as “Johnson Hall.” He resided at the “Hall,” where he was married and where his children were born. His diaries, spanning the years 1875 to 1943, were recently donated to the Waukegan Historical Society. Of particular interest are the diaries covering the 1890s, for which no newspapers survive.
Would like to prove that this is indeed a family that married into the the Kingston line. Would like to know Mary's name, place of birth for Archibald and Mary Yard, etc. Any further help is appreciated,
