I am Bill Stebbins am looking for my information about my ancestors on my father’s father and my father’s mother side and here is what I have so far. My Great Grand Father Louis Stebbins parents could be and where he was born in Illinois. Louis Stebbins was an only child and the 1920 US census does not show him living with him living with my Great Grandmother in Kankakee Illinois or not the head of the household and the 1910 US Census says his parents were from The United States. His marriage certificate says he married Louise Deslauries on October 12, 1902 and shows that he died on October 13, 1906, but the 1910 us census indicates he is still the head of household and 35 years old. He was also Catholic. Louise Deslauries was born in Saint George Illinois (now part of Bourbonnais and died in 1957 at 87. She was buried behind an old Catholic church in Bourbonnais and her parents were from Montréal Canada. Her sisters became Catholic nuns. She was of French Canadian Descent. My grand father's name is Philip and he was born in Kankakee. He was born in 1908 and died in 1990 in California. He married Pricilla Handley in 1935 who was of English Irish Descent. She converted to Catholicism when she was 17. She was taken care of by nuns because her parents thought she was difficult teenager. She became Catholic and tried to become a nun, but later quit due to the stress. She had five children. My father was born in Kankakee also. Her parents were Grant W. Handley b 1873 died in 1937And Barbara born in 1878 died in 1940. The Us Census lists Grand W. as being from Indiana.
