Hi, Kay: I've an ancestor, John Bauer, Born 1817 in Rhinish Prov., Bavaria, Married 1862, to Elizabeth Fleck, I believe in Nauvoo. His father was Jacob Bauer, died 1847, I'm guessing in Nauvoo, as well, though I'll have to recheck my scanty records. Jacob was married to Catherine Deidesheimer. One of John Bauer's children was Theresa Bauer, who married John Frederick Argast in Nauvoo, Oct. 24, 1889. Is this any help?
