John Bauer- 1840ish Nauvoo
Posted by: Kay Steele Newton Date: April 10, 2000 at 15:57:49

I am looking for a John Jacob Bauer who moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co. in 1840ish, right after the Mormons left. He immigrated to US with wife 1820ish from Germany. Was in Stark Co., OH for a while as a vineyardist and moved his family to Nauvoo in 1840. He and his wife had 15 children, a few born in Nauvoo. Wife's maiden name is Eber. If this sounds familiar or if anyone can tell me how I can search for this family in Nauvoo, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Kay Steele Newton
