Hello, I just found your posts about William R Nesbit & wife Isabel and the response from Ellen Coulter. Are you researching for yourself or for adding information to fill out more on Nesbit family?
Either way, I can give you some background. Wm Randal Nesbit born June 10 1814 in Nicholas County Ky is my great great grandfather. In fact, I am looking at a photograph (1886) of the Nesbit family in front of a log cabin in Lima Illinois, which is in Adams county. I actually have been in the cabin and it still exists today. The photograph has Wm Randal Nesbit with seven children including Wm. Matthew Nesbit and wife Mary Cory. There is no photo of Wm. Randal's wife, Isabella Archer. I will check records that I have on when she died. All this information is from my aunt and she passed in 2004. I also have death and burial cemetery locations.
I do not have all my papers out, but will search and please let me know what exactly you need.
I believe I am on the trail of my family as Wm Randal was the son of Jeremiah (1738) and Sarah, and Jeremiah was the son of original settler John Nesbit (1702) from Scotland.
