Jane Brazel Fry who married Aden Mullen was born on the Cumberland River possibly in Pulaski Co. KY. Her father could have been a boatmaker or a similar occupation. I have a letter saying that Samuel Simpson, husband of Susanna Fry, sister to Jane, that He and his father built the 1st boat for the CDFumberland river coal mines and that Susanna Fry was born onthe Cumberland River in KY, April 14, 1806. The river goes between MO, KY and ILL. It does seem to be a logical migration path. Who knows it may have even depended upon which side of the river they were on when a baby was born. (Just a thought) Earlene
