HIGGINS - Hamilton, Hancock, IL
Posted by: Pat Date: December 08, 2000 at 09:07:03

Researching ggrandfather, Patrick HIGGINS and family shown living in Hamilton, IL in 1880 census (Hancock Illinois E.D. 73, sheet 24, line 17).

Patrick worked for a railroad there at the time. Can anyone tell me the name of the railroad?

I have reason to believe that he may have been killed or died in or near Hamilton between 1880 and 1884. Quite possibly he was buried in a Roman Catholic cemetery in or near Keokuk, IA as there may not have been a Roman Catholic cemetery in Hamilton.

Can anyone find any information for me?

Pat
