Dear Sylvia:

There are individual cemetery Books which are available from the site of the Greene County Genealogical & Historical Society, but I recommend that you may wish to rather purchase a year memebership and then ask all the questions that you want. Marty Crull has familiarity with the tri county area, including Jersey County.

Also, he might have been buried in Greene somewhere but have been buried by a burial society out of Jersey County.. May I therefore recommend that you search for hs date of death on the Illinois Death Index, then search for him in the appropriate Funeral books listed on the Jersey County Historical society web page. People in Greene frequently used the funeral homes out of Jersey County, depending upon their exact location.

Is this wife buried closer to Macoupin County or Scott County, perhaps? What part of Greene County is her grave located in?
