Peggy, thank you so much for your post.YES, I would love to have any info you have on Wm. and Arminda. You have already helped me with your post--I wasn't sure he was in the Civil War, I didn't have the complete names of his children and I didn't have the dates when they died. I haven't been able to find his parents either, although I had a researcher tell me that he thought that Wm. was living in Logan Co. Ill. with his mother Malinda at the age of 10 (1950 Ill. census). Malinda was listed as head of household. The Dillards were living in the same area at the same time, so, in his words--right age, right neighbors, right William. Haven't found anything else, so he may be right. But without a man as head of household where do we go from there?
