John Campbell reported to have been born abt. 1770 Ballinderry Parish, Antrim County, Ireland. Reported to have married Mary Hall Neilson abt. 1809 Ballinderry Parish, County Antrim, Ireland. Mary reported to have been born 17 March 1773, County Antrim, Ireland. John and Mary reported to have lived initially near the ruins of Portmore Castle and then near Lough Neagh, County Antrim, Ireland before moving to Knox County, Tennessee in 1812 and then to Fayette County, IL by 1830. John reported to have died in 1834 in Fayette County, IL. Death date for Mary Hall (Neilson) Campbell unknown. Ten children. Their son David R. Campbell was my GGG-Grandfather. David married Serena Stigall. My GG-Grandfather was Thomas B. Campbell who married Eliza Mary Pinkley. My grandfather was Harry R. Campbell who married Emma Lela Day. Any help in locating the roots and ancestors of this family would be greatly appreciated.
