Not sure whether I should be looking in DuPage or Cook Co. I am trying to find any information I can on the EUGENE MCCARTY family and the GEORGE T. HOWARD faily that lived in LaGrange Illinois.
EUEGENE MCCARTY ran a coal company for many years in and around the LaGrange area starting around 1900. His wifes name was Ida (Brumbaugh) McCarty. He was born in 1854
GEORGE T. HOWARD was an architect and was married to ELENA (Ellenor, Ellen) maiden name McCarty or Holland.
These two families have been elusive for years from me. I have found the Howards in the 1910, and 1920 census' but then they disappear. The McCarty family materialize in 1900 but I can find nothing prior to that.
