Cindy,in response to your reply on my GIBBS line in Douglas Co. -
William G. Gibbs was in Newman, IL spanning an approximate period of 1901 to early or
mid 1920s.I believe he had onlytwo children, both married in Douglas Co, IL in 1903.They were George Henry GIBBS- b.1875, who married Eva McQUEEN -andCora B. GIBBS - b.1884, who married George W. SWANK.I have quite a bit of information on the
descendants of these two Gibbs children of William and quite a bit about William'sancestry and most of his siblings. There is some unfortunate MIS-information about George Henry's ancestry on the internet from a well intentioned gentleman who uploaded a major error in George Henry's parentage.I also know there was another line of Gibbs in Douglas Co, in the late 1800s that I believe were NOT connected to mine.William and his son George Henry both died in Indianapolis, Indiana in the late 1920s, but I don't know what year either of them left Douglas Co, IL.Cora SWANK died in Missouri.I have Email contacts to each of their descendants.
