James Cox, Nov 6, 1801 - Feb 18, 1858, was married to Keziah Mills (born 1800-1810 in NC and she died before 1850 census). One of their sons, Edward Cox, died in 1927 (married Martha Caroline Wright) and Edward's parents were identified as James Cox and Kissie Mills on his death certificate.
Also, the book, "Nasby Mills of Knox County, Kentucky: His Descendants and Ancestors" states the following:
"Page 12
William (sic Mills) died between 1840 and 1850. He formerly owned the land the Free Will Baptist Church at Black Jack was built on in 1831. He had a daughter, Mary, who married John Stanley Dixon, and a daughter, Penny, who married William Haddock. His daughter Keziah, who married James Cox, his daughter Susan who married James Haney, and his son Harvey, all moved to other states. Mary (sic...sister of William Cox) married Benjamin Cox and they had sons named Benjamin, Jr., Hardee, William and Jesse Cox."
