Genealogy researching my 2nd.-Great-Grandfather-1st.Lt.BENJAMIN VAN"B.V."CAREY B-July 16th.1838 in Jackson Twp.Belfast,Highland County,Ohio U.S.A.the son of; (Rev.)JOHN CAREY,& ELIZABETH"BESTY"(VANPELT)CAREY. He died May 18th.1926 in Robinson,Crawford County,Illinois U.S.A. burried at the "Old Robinson Cemetery" (a civil war veteran 1861-1865)served in Company I- 24th.Ohio Vol. Infantry (Union Army),and in Company E- 122nd.Illinois Vol. Infantry (Union Army). Researching the CAREY family in Baltimore County,Maryland. Highland County,Ohio,and in Macoupin,& Crawford Counties,Illinois. Would appreciate any information.
