Chicago city directories, need help

Does anyone have access to Chicago city directories around 1917? Or know if any genealogy sites have them online? I've been trying for years to figure out where my gg-grandmother went after divorcing her husband in Nebraska. I can't find her in the 1920 or 1930 census. Tonight though I was searching 'Draemel' on google books and got a hit in the Catalog of Copyright Entries. A Johanna N. Draemel got one for song lyrics in 1917, and all it says for an address is Chicago. I'm not familiar with the Chicago area and would appreciate any help with this. Thanks.
