MRS. CATHCART DIES;
ILL THREE YEARS

Mrs. Margaret Cathcart, wife of Drew Cathcart, passed away at 11 o'clock Sunday morning at her home, 613 Charleston avenue after a three years' illiness. She was 71 years old.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church, with Rev. James M. Lively officiating. Burial will be in Dodge Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Cathcart was born Sept. 28, 1865, in Crittenden county, Arkansas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Hall. She lived here the greater part of her life. She was married to Mr. Cathcart in 1894.
He and four children, Henry Cathcart, Mrs. William Lee, Mrs. Omer Icenogle and Mrs. Jean Cummings, all of Mattoon, and eight grandchildren, survive.
Mrs. Cathcart was an active member of the First Baptist church.

IS FOUND DEAD

Drew A. Cathcart was found dead in bed about 8'oclock this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. A. Cummings, 2901 DeWitt avenue. He apparently had been dead about three hours. Death was due to complications incident to old age. Mr. Cathcart was 83 years old.
The funeral will be held Sunday at the First Bapist church, with Rev. James M. Lively officiating. The funeral hour has not been set. Burial will be in Dodge Grove cemetery.
Mr. Cathcart was born Feb. 28, 1857 near Paducah, Ky., a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cathcart. When a child he moved with his parents to New Liberty where he resided until coming to Mattoon 22 years ago. He married Miss Margaret Hall of New Liberty Sept. 7, 1894. She died three years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Grace Lee, Mrs. Eunice Icenogle and Mrs. J. A. Cummings, all of Mattoon; a son, Henry also of Mattoon; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Cathcart was a member of the First Baptist church.

...........I found them in an old city directory in 1924 living at 913 Prairie here in Mattoon listing Drew as a painter contractor with wife Maggie. Also living at the same address was Henry Cathcart (also a painter) and wife Marie and a child Lloyd who was 8 years old.
