Art,
I thank you so much for your response to my query, however the unit was a Missouri unit. I have records for one of the brothers from my Morris family who was in this unit. It says 3rd Missouri Volunteer Calvary. I am sending for the records for the other three brothers who all enlisted in this unit in Ashmore, Il.
Thanks again, your suggestion is always something to keep in mind as I'm sure here will be other occasions to use it.
