Who really is Rachel Ann Frost's parents???

I am the decendant of Charles C. Hill son of Rachel Ann Frost and Benjamin Roten Hill also known as William Roating Hill by some. I have been searching around at familysearch and Ancestry trees. I have come up with two sets of parents for Rachel Ann Frost. One is Simeon Frost and Rachel Short no real proof of this except some LDS records, the other John J. Frost and Parmelia Glasscock ( Parmelia married a second time to Bowen Gobin in 1852 after John Frost's death in 1850). Now I am leaning towards the later for one reason. When I sent for my grandfather's marriage cert. it had listed as mother's maiden name Rachel Ann Gobin, Also on his death cert it had her name as Rachel Goburn. I figure my grandfather's third wife who was the informat on the death cert. didn't get that quite right or it was written wrong. She may have just put Goburn in because it was the only name she knew at the time. Does anyone have proof of Rachel's parents besides what they have found on the internet? Thank you for your help. Still trying to figure out why Benjamin Roten was called William Roating on the marriage books for Coles County Ill. It has him married to Rachel Ann Frost Sept. 1 1864 then there is a William Roating married to Rachel Ann Smoot on Aug.31 1864 leading me to wonder if Rachel had been married before marrying William or Ben or whatever he was called. Any idea's??? thanks again, Linda
