Hi. Thomas Clark turned out to be my gr gr grandfather ,father to my gr grandfather James Clark. Thomas Clarke died in Morgan county In and that summoned home his children, including James and Elizabeth Ladd clark who had moved to Coles co. Illinois. Sarah Ladd is believed to be one of Elizabeth and Patsey Ladd's sisters, and was mentioned in Thomas Clarke's will so I am told, but nobody seems to know who the heck she married, but as she was mentioned in the will they believed she had married into James Clark's family. However as nearly as I can tell, having gotten the info from someone else, all of my James Clark's siblings spouses are now accounted for. Besides only two of my gr gr grandfather's children were males, james clark, my gr grandfather who married Elizabeth Ladd and Andrew Clark who married Nancy Odell. So I still have the mystery of what Clark did Sarah Ladd marry? How was he related to my Andrew , James , and my gr gr grandfather Thomas Clark. Of course Andrew Clark and nancy Odell Clark had 5 children, but they later moved to Missouri, and one of their sons Phillip Odell Clark had 8 children. So now I am wondering did Sarah Ladd marry into one of these families.Of course she was born prob. bet. 1807 and 1814, some say she was prob. born 1811, and Andrew Clarks children were born in 1840's ,no I sure dont know who she married, but my informant insists she married into the Clark family. If I find out anything definite will let you know. she could have married several times. Wish I could be more helpful as I ,too, would love to know just who she was and who she married, etc. Will keep you in mind.
