Dear Bill,
Once again we meet. Isabelle Miles Plank was married to Thomas Jefferson Plank, in Platte Co. Mo. She was the daughter of John and Julia (Trotter) Miles and they were originally from Scott Co. Ky. They were married on August 11, 1840 in Franklin Co. KY.John was born in 1816 and Julia was born in 1818. We have an old family photo of a young child with what we believe is Belle and her son William. We thought that she might be buried with her family in Mound Cemetery in Charleston Il but everyone that I have contacted doesn't seem to be able to find her final resting place. After Belle's death, Thomas remarried and lived in Lebanon, Laclede Co. Mo.My cousin says according to her obit that her 3 sisters morned her passing. I believe that John Miles was a postmaster in Charleston. We cannot seem to find out who Julia's father and mother were. There were several Trotters in Ky at that time and no one has been able to give me anything concrete as yet.
