Goodwin, Perlina married Shores, Nelson on 24 May 1842 in Coles County, Illinois

I think that the above may be the parents of
Nelson A. or H. Shores b. 09/24/1846 and
d. 04/15/1889 (buried in Frankford, Pike Co, Missouri). Nelson married Arletta Cunningham.
He served as a Private and Corporal in the
Illinois Infantry (Union Army) and claimed
his residence as Mattoon, Illinois. With the
same first names it is possible that Nelson
and Perlina are the parents of Nelson b. 1846
or possibly uncle and aunt.
Anyone have any info on Nelson & Perlina Shores and their children? siblings?
