Boatman/Walker/Tinch Families
Is anyone out there connected to the Boatman/Walker/Tinch families that resided in Coles County, Illinois?
Richard T. Boatman(b.Kentucky,1845)married there(1869)and stayed there until he died(1928.)
He was married to Lydia Walker(1853-1923)who was the daughter of John G. Walker (b.Ohio) and Eliza Morris (b. Pennsylvania) who also married in Coles Co in 1844.
Richard and Lydia had 8 or 9 children (Joseph, Sarah, William H., Laura, John, George, Ross, Walter, & Elizabeth)
William was born in 1874, married in 1899, and died in 1921, all in Coles County, IL.He married Rhoda "Rosa" Elizabeth Tinch and had 6 children (3 of which died in Coles Co.as children)
Rhoda was the daughter of Alexander G. Tinch (born 1825 in Tennessee and died 1896 in Coles County, IL) and Mary Martha/Martha Ann Jones (born 1838 in Tennessee) They had six children (Nancy Ella, Emma Mae, Etta Estella, Julian Churchill, Rienetta, Rhoda Elizabeth, and James C.) at least some of whom died in Coles Co., IL)
Alexander Tinch was previously married to Isabela Davis (b. 1825) and they had 4 children (Josiah A.), Richard B., Levi, and Arie) some of which lived and died in Coles, Co., IL.
