Hi Beverly, A couple of years ago, we visited Mason, Illinois where our grandfather Charles Omri Hill (son of Hugh & Celestus Leonard Hill) was born. We found a little country cemetery named Wright Cemetery. It was South & East of Mason. There we found several of our ancestor's relatives graves(people we found listed in our family Bible). Our grandfather's mother was Celestus Leonard. Her mother was Ludicia Wright 1822-1888. Ludicia married Paschael Leonard 1817-1888. They are both buried in Minneola Cemetery, Minneola Kansas

Some of the graves in Wright Cemetery that we recognized were:
Telitha (Leonard)Craver 1846-1882(who was married to Geo. W. Craver
Thompson Omri Leonard 1855-1889 (married to Martha ? )
I believe Louisa or Louiza(Leonard) Biggs 1862-1886 (married to Geo. W. Briggs)
These people were my grandfather's aunts & Uncle. I feel certain there were more. I don't have my notes with me as I'm writing this.
Our concern is that we CAN NOT find a grave for grandad's baby sister Soretta born 1868 (we feel certain she died as a child under 6 because she is 1870 census but not 1880)

We are also at a loss as to what happened to his paternal grandparents, Wm.Q and Nancy Hill. We have Not been able to locate graves for either of them.
We feel certain that there are possible descendents of the Wrights, Leonards, Hills, Or Kinnisons still in the area. Perhaps you are one of his grandparent's descendents?

Our ancestors left Mason & headed to Kansas in or around 1880. Thanks for any help you can give. We'd reall appreciate it. Rosalie
