LIVINGSTON CO, KY Riley & Rossiter

I am writing this query to see if I can locate anyone who had ancestors who lived in KY or passed thru KY, OH,&
IN enroute to Clay Co, IL. I have learned that my Riley/Raley families travelled this route enroute to Clay Co, IL. I have only been able to document one son,of John
Robert Riley born abt 1787 NC & Catherine Rossiter borm abt 1795 MD, James Riley being born abt 1819 in OH. He later married a Sarah Ann Shepherd in Tippecanoe, IN. John & Catherine had five more children born in IN but do not know what Co in IN. They were John born 1821, William born abt 1825, Vesta Ann born abt 1829 married to Davis Foster,
Sanford born abt 1834 & Marion born abt 1837 in IN. Will
appreciate any info that might throw some light on this family. It is my understanding that John Riley may have been in KY approximately fifteen or so years before migrating west. I am assuming that he & Catherine would have been married shortly before their son James was born in OH in abt 1819. John could possinly have had an earlier marriage before Catherine. Would be interested in hearing from any others who had ancestors in any of those areas.
When I was growing up in Clay City, IL, I heard of some of the people there being from KY. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the importance of genealogy at that time. I can
not recall the names of those people. I am in hopes that some of you researchers may be able to help me in this emdevor.
