Di, with this information you should be able to get a death certiciate. That may give you his parents and also where he was actually born. Same for Cora. Keep me posted. We may be able to track him back to NC. The Crouser family helped populate, I some times think, the world. Seriously we do have tracks and names and empty places. If I can find them in our data base, we get you back to 1739 in this country.
