I have found more data on Michael Schuman
who married Catherine (Elizabeth) Wintjen
on 4-20-1879. Michael's father was Christian
Schuman and his mother was Christine Eberh*
*the marriage document cuts off her last name, so it could be Eberhart/Eberhardt.
Michael, the groom was born abt. 1854. He was of german birth and place of residence was Calhoun Co., Illinois. He lists his occupation as being a farmer. Catherine Elizabeth Wintjen and Michael Schuman were married in the Lutheran Church.
I've also found the following Schuman's that were living in Calhoun Co., around the same time frame: Frederick M. Schuman married
Lena Brunjes 8-27-1891 and Christian Schuman
married Louisa Vetter 8-21-1880.
The spelling never deviates from: Schuman
Logic tells me all this family of Schuman's were related.
If one of these names sound familiar, please let me know.
