John White & Sarah Fluty White Family

Well, after more than 20 yrs of frustration, the search continues. John and Sarah raised their daughter Jane's son, Stephen A. D. White. Why? Was she deceased? According to the Marriage Book, she married John Kates. This is the last record I can find of then in early 1860. This whole family is not on the census...anywhere in 1860. They owned land in first Pike and then Calhoun Co. in 1865. Stephen, aka Douglas, is with the family in 1870 using their last name and on all succeeding records. His marriage record lists his mother only. If she's deceased in 1870, where is she buried? She is not listed on her father's probate records, so presuming she's deceased.

Who in Calhoun Co does probate research? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
