Kim I was thrilled to find your info on Elisabeth Grigsby that married William Raney. Elisabeth was a Sister to my Grand Father, George Perry Grigsby Sr. He was born in Batchtown Calhoun ILL. died in Chelsea Rogers OK

Henry Franklin Grigsby was my Great Grandfather. I found him in Batchtown Calhoun Co but haven't found anything else, exxcept He is buried in Batchtown Sitton Cem. There is one book in Hardin that has an article on him. He supposedly was held 1 year for murdering a man, but after a jury trial was found innocent. There was another article on that Henry and another man went to CA to find gold. They found gold and put it in a trunk, on the boat back to Hardin they left the gold under their bed, but when they came back it was all gone. The article didn't print out good and I think I lost it.

Are you related to the Batchhelders or Raney's?
