ROMIG Family

My great-grandparents Fred and Hulda ROMIG first settled in Boone County after they arrived in the US from Pomerania (Prussia)Germany in 1895. They had two children, Martha and Otto, when they arrived.Their next three children, William, Charles, and Margaret were born there in 1895, 1897, and 1899 respectively. William's WW I military record shows his place of birth as Belvidere. Chances are that Martha and possibly Otto would have attended school there as she was about five and he was a year old when they arrived.

The family moved to Cleveland, OH around 1900.

Preliminary research shows that there were ROMIGs from the same region of Germany in southern Wisconsin and there may be a possiblity that they may have had relatives in the area.

I would greatly appreciate any information I can find on my family during this time period (1895-1900) or leads to whatever records may exist there. I believe that they may have been Catholics so there may be Church records. Thanks in advance for any information.
