I haven't checked this site in awhile because I just gave up trying to find these people. But it came to my Yahoo address luckily. Susannah (Mother) and General Jackson Knight (son)were in Christian County Kentucky then Jackson at the age of 17 was in Trigg Co. Kentucky. Sometime around 1880 he moved to Missouri then to southern Illinois in the 1900's then back to Missouri. From what I found so far is the Knights originally came from the Virginia and North Carolina area. General (no it he wasn't a general for real)Jackson Knight is my 2nd Great Grandfather who married Amanda Simmons who was from Tennessee. Not confirmed on his father yet but by the marriage records I found online his father is Ellis Edmund Knight from North Carolina born about 1797 and his father was John Knight and mother Martha Montague. I haven't checked out all the kids yet but it is a work in progress at the moment. Thanks for responding. Sandy
