Hi Alton,

Thank you for your follow-up on my Ike family inquiry. Lewis H. and Georgia Tunison were my great-grandparents. I'll pass along the story about them raising your grandfather to my father. He will be very interested in that account.

My latest research has confirmed that Charles Ike (1828/29 to 1901) was married to Evaline Schooley (1830 to 1918). Charles' parents were John (ca. 1799 to 1882) and Anna M. Ike (1803 to 1892), both from Pennsylvania.

John and Anna's ancestors have been impossible to determine, so far. A possible ancestor for John Ike is: Paul Ike from Northumberland Co., PA. He was found in the 1800 Federal Census.

Another possibility is Arthur Eick, found in the 1790 Federal Census in Luzerne County.

Mike
