John Ijams s/o Richard & Elizabeth (Gaither) Ijams

My connection to the Ijams family is through John Ijams, son of Richard Ijams by Elizabeth Gaither. I have been trying to find primary documentation on John, but it seems to be pretty thin -- so far, all I can find is the secondary source of Newman's "Anne Arundel Gentry" which is good but hardly error-free.

In particular, I'm trying to track down John's wife. Newman says she's Elizabeth ___, but several (undocumented) online sources call her "Penelope." No one seems to have a single actual document which mentions her by name. Does anyone know more about John's wife which might help to figure out who she was?

I'm happy to share the information I have, if anyone's interested.
