I am presently researching the Ijames of North Carolina, in particular, the descendants of Winfield 'Brooks' Ijames who was black and who also was a 'slave' of Beal Ijames. I have read accounts of the accomplishments of his descendants and wanted to learn more about them. They resided in Mocksville twp., Calahaln Twp. and Jeusalem Twp. in Davie county, North Carolina. Any knowledge of Brooks descendants would be appreciated.
