I think that the descendents of James T Cone and Margaret J "Jennie" Ijams [m.1860] may be the only descendents of Basil G Ijams unless Annie Emily Ijams married and had children. 2 sons died as young men, Nancy Anna Ijams, spinster - none? http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcolora/obits/obitsc2.htm see the above URL for Cone, Jennie (Ijams) [b: Apr 21, 1839; d: Jul 10, 1901] ...She leaves a devoted husband, Mr. J.T.Cone, a son, Mr. Ross Cone of Rosenberg... Cone, Sallie L. (Lowrey) ...In 1890, she was married to Ross Cone in San Antonio... A son, Gaither, died when he was a small boy and another son, Clarence, died in an accident in Colorado while he was serving with the army, in 1943. Other survivors are 3 daughters, Mrs Ned Burford and Mrs. Brandon Fitzpatrick of Columbus and Mrs. Karl Essig of Galveston, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren ... Colorado County Citizen, January 6, 1966. Erratum: According to the Pleasant Grove (Ijams) Cemetery transcriptions, Nancy Anna Ijams died Mar 23, 1921, not Annie Emily Ijams (where did she go? I only see her in 1850 census) Ijams, Nancy Anna; born: Sep 19, 1841; died: Mar 23, 1921 Hope this is helpful to you. Columbus County is doing a great job with its heritage on-line. My interest is Basil's family name and Texas history. Notify Administrator about this message?
