Parents of Elisha Iams (b. ca. 1820), Washington Co, PA?

I am researching the Iams family of western PA, in my husband's maternal line. Elisha Iams (m. Cynthia Garber) is his great great grandfather. I have some handwritten family notes that list Elisha's father as William (b. 1792 and m. Delilah Meeks). However, I've read some of the postings here, and they don't seem to support that link. Can someone please point me toward the right branch of the Iams/Iiams/Ijams family tree for Elisha? Many thanks.
