First, I show that Nancy Jane Ijames was born June 7, 1851 in Mocksville, Davie Co., N.C. and d. June 23, 1918. If you have proof for you dates, please send them to me.
Nancy Jane Ijames [1851] was the daughter of James Madison Ijams b. Feb. 15, 1818 in Clarksville, Davie Co., N. C. and Nancy Jane Baiity b. Feb. 10, 1820 Cross Roads, Yadian Co., N.C. & died May 9, 1886 Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri
Nancy's siblings were:
1. John Worthing Ijames {1837]
2. Henry Harrison Ijames [1840] m. Mary Jane Anderson
3. James Monroe Ijames [1843] m. Rachel Elizabeth Cheshire
4. Martha Mariah Ijames [1845] m. G. Badger Cook
5. Mary Elizabeth Ijames [1848] m. Joseph Wesley Collette
6. Nancy Jane Ijames [1851] m. William Alexander West
7. William Alexander Ijames [1854] m. Emma Jane Saunders
8. Beal Filmore Ijames [1857] m. Robener Galimore
9. Isaac Hugh Ijames [1861] m. Effie O'Bryan
The father of James Madison Ijames [1818] was James Monroe Ijams b. between Nov. 21, 1792-1798 and d. 1820 He married Charlotte 'Lottie' Stonestreet b. about 1788. The long span of James Madison Ijames [1818] DOB is based on the belief that his father Brice W. Ijames had a spouse prior to marrying Betsey Anderson. When you look at the documented date of marriage March 31, 1803 for Brice & Betsey and then James [1818] Dob, they do not reason check.
Brice W. Ijames was the son of John Iiams/Ijames b. November 18, 1725 in All Hallow's Parish, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland & d. Feb. 7, 1789 in Queen Anne's Parish, Prince Georges Co., Maryland. John [1725] married Ariana Worthington d/o Thomas Worthington & Elizabeth Ridgely. Ariana also had married Nicholas Watkins before John. John & Ariana had 7 children.
John Ijams/Iiams [1725] was the son of George Iiams b. about 1676 in A.A. Co., Maryland and who died August 12, 1763 in A.A. Co., Maryland and Elizabeth Bashford b. 1697 d. after 1769 d/o of Thomas Bashford & Rachel. George & Elizabeth had 11 children.
George Iiams/Ijames [abt 1676] was the son of William Iiams b. before 1640 in England and died July 29, 1703 in A.A.Co., Md. and Elizabeth Cheyney b. Oct. 30, 1652 in A.A.Co. Maryland. They had 6 children but some believe 7.
