Benjamin Gaither [1712-1793] s/o of John & Jane Buck Gaither. He was the most affluent of all his brothers & died in Prince George's without legal issue over which a law suit later developed. On June 20, 1791, he wrote his last will and testament which was probated on Dec. 16, 1792, with Richard Isaac, Joseph Isaac and Sutton Isaac as the witnesses.
"........to Benjamin Ijams, son of Sarah Ijams, all land whereon he dwelt with adjoining plantation and the personal estate except the negroes who were to be set free. Executors -- Benjamin Ijams and William Peach, Jr., brother to Benjamin Ijams" There was at a court held in April 1809 as Benjamin Ijams and William Peach were not able to to execute the trust and letters of administration issued to Robert McGill. In 1809, Robert McGill was ordered to sell the personal estate. It was again stated that the heirs of Benjamin Gaither were [listed in previous message.]
