I really wouldn't want to venture an opinion here, as I am of the camp who believe some proof of the relationship should have been uncovered in England. I do know that my
4-Great Grandfather William Iiams Sr (~1755-1831) of Breakneck Rd. Allegany Co. Md. still can't be documented to the Anne Arundle clan. I also wonder why we can't find any Revolutionary War records on him. Also what of William Iiams Jr.'s (1670-1738 A.A. Co.) son Richard (b.~1702)? What did become of him and was he the one who married Mary Nichols? As Richard of his Uncle Richard disappears also
Aside from the "Kernal of Greatness" Bedford County Pa. history much debunked as folk-lore and mis-read and non-existent Tombstones at the Iiams Cemetery, we never have seen anything about Richard, other than he was alive when his Dad died
