Thanks for the info, Roberta.Yes, we've correspondendedearlier last year in previous forum posts, but I haven't been in touch with Aubrey Morris. Aubrey Morris is my husband's 3rd cousin and an descendant of Catherine Eugenia Imes as you probably already know.He is well acquainted with my husband's Aunt Algene (wife of the late John Brown Imes) who lives near Alpharetta, GA. Actually I've done all my research on my own from the Internet, Ancestry.com, forum posts & a few cousins from our direct line including Barbara Dooley and Lila Gish Shaw. But no one has been able to provide details on John Frederick Iiams' ascendants. I've also been in touch with Boyd Hart, a descendant of John Iiams and Ariana Worthington who has done considerable research on that line. See his site at http://home.att.net/~boydhart/ijames.htmhttp://home.att.net/~boydhart/ijames.htm .Boyd said the only info he had on John Frederick is from the book "Iams in America" by Ralph Reynolds. He said there were a couple references about John Frederick Iiams and Mary Polly Johnson including one on page 95 of Mary Johnson signing the will of Ariana Ijams Hendron (a sister of Beale Ijams) but I don't know whether this is "our" Mary Johnson. Boyd was going to fax the page but I never received it.Lila Gish Shaw mentioned that John Frederick possibly had a brother named William -- something about the roads??But again, no proof.By the way where do I find the article by Henry Wright Newman? And also references to Ijams/Iiams/Imes history. We live in Florida and due to my husband's recent health setbacks are not able to travel. I appreciate your expertise assistance and have enjoyed your previous posts on the Imes.
