John Igou b.ca. 1760-70, birth place and parents unknown. The 1830 Mad Co, Ky census list John and wife at 60-70 years of age. John died intestate ca 1833. A Mary Igou (probably his widow) and Joseph Embree (son-in-law) were administrators of his estate, they paid $100 dollars to pay off an unsettled land deal that John entered into in Sept. 1822.
Three of his children are listed as heirs in the land settlement resolved by court decree. James and Peggy (Margaret Igou) Reid, Joseph and Rachel (Igou) Embree and Harrison Igou. The land was on Otter Creek being part of “Farrow’s Settlement”.
I would appreciate any additional info for John or families of James and Peggy Reid or Harrison.
Joseph and Rachel Embree (m. 1824) are my line, they lived in Madison Co and I have their family info.
